I am a Research Scientist at Cirad, UMR TETIS, Montpellier, France.

I was previously a post-doc researcher at University of La Rochelle (France), Uppsala University (Sweden) and at University of Calabria (Italy), where I received my Ph.D. in computer engineering in 2015. My Ph.D. work focused on novel ranking problems in information networks.

My research interests include the design of data science techniques applied to the analysis of complex networks (e.g., social media networks, trust networks, semantic networks, bibliographic networks) and the extraction of information from remote sensing data. My most recent contributions concern (i) the implementation of deep learning methods for land use classification based on the analysis of time series of multi-sensor satellite images (optical, radar, high/very high spatial resolution) (ii) the application of complex network analysis techniques for the extraction of spatialized indicators (landscape, socio-economic) from multi-source data (remote sensing, survey data, statistics, social networks, etc.). My thematic interests mainly concern the characterization of tropical agricultural landscapes, the production of spatial information for food security and the analysis of the transnational land trade market.
